Ekadashi

Auspicious Bhadrapada Ekadashi dedicated to Lord Vishnu for spiritual purification, elimination of karmic debts, and divine grace.

Fasting on Ekadashi detoxifies internal organs, enhances mental clarity, calms turbulent emotions, and awakens pure devotion (Bhakti). According to ancient sages, observing Ekadashi with a sincere heart grants the spiritual merits of visiting all holy pilgrimage sites (Tirthas) and paves the royal road to Vaikuntha (the eternal abode of peace).

  • Morning Vishnu Puja with fresh Tulsi Dal.
  • Listening to the specific Ekadashi Vrata Katha.
  • Dwadashi Parana charity and Prasad distribution.

About The Five Limbs & Dainika Panchanga

A Panchanga is an ancient Vedic calendar and almanac that follows traditional units of timekeeping, presenting astronomical calculations in a precise mathematical form. 'Dainika' means daily.

Tithi: The lunar day representing the angular distance between the Sun and Moon (each 12°). Crucial for determining fasts, festivals, and sacred rites.

Nakshatra: The lunar mansion occupied by the Moon in the sidereal zodiac (13° 20' each). It deeply influences mental inclinations and day energy.

Yoga: The sum of the longitudes of the Sun and Moon divided into 27 segments. Reflects the subtle prevailing mood and harmony of the day.

Karana: Half a Tithi (6° angular difference). Used for fine-grained selection of Muhuratas for specific commercial, domestic, and spiritual tasks.

Vara: The weekday ruled by a planetary lord, establishing the foundational energetic principle of the 24-hour cycle from sunrise to next sunrise.
