ஷ்ராவண மாஹாத்மியம்

நைமிசாரண்யத்தில் முனிவர்கள் சூதரிடம் ஷ்ராவண மாதத்தின் பெருமையை அருளுமாறு வேண்டினர். சூதர் சிறந்த கேட்பவரின் பன்னிரண்டு நற்குணங்களையும் சிவபெருமான் சனத்குமாரருக்கு அருளிய மகிமையையும் விவரித்தார்.

சிவபெருமான் ஷ்ராவண மாதத்தில் கடைப்பிடிக்க வேண்டிய புனித நெறிமுறைகள், காலை நீராடல், வில்வ இலைகளால் சிவ வழிபாடு மற்றும் புலனடக்கம் ஆகியவற்றை விளக்கினார்.
