Terms of Use (EULA)
End User License Agreement and Terms of Service governing Hindu Calendar on iOS, in compliance with Apple App Store Review Guidelines.
1. Acceptance of Terms & Apple Standard EULA
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Hindu Calendar - Panchang (“Application”) from the Apple App Store, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and End User License Agreement (“EULA”).
This agreement incorporates by reference Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Standard EULA”), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. In the event of any conflict between these Terms of Use and Apple’s Standard EULA, these Terms of Use shall govern to the extent permitted by applicable law.
2. Scope of License
We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and use the Application on any Apple-branded products (iPhone, iPad) that you own or control, strictly as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
You may not decompile, reverse-engineer, disassemble, attempt to derive the source code of, modify, or create derivative works of the Application, calculation algorithms, or any updates thereof.
3. In-App Purchases & Auto-Renewable Subscriptions (PRO)
Hindu Calendar offers optional premium auto-renewable subscription tiers (“PRO”) that unlock an ad-free experience, unlimited Kundli generation, offline tools, and advanced Vedic panchang features.
Subscription Terms & Billing Details:
- Subscription Plans: Available as Monthly Plan (1 Month) and Yearly Plan (1 Year, Best Value). Pricing is clearly displayed on the in-app subscription screen prior to purchase.
- Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase.
- Automatic Renewal: The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle.
- Renewal Charges: Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-applicable renewal price.
- Managing & Canceling Subscriptions: You can manage, modify, or cancel your auto-renewable subscriptions at any time by going to your Apple App Store Account Settings after purchase (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions).
- Restore Purchases: You can restore past active subscriptions at any time on any iOS device linked to your Apple ID by tapping the “Restore Purchases” button in the application.
- Free Trials: Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription to that publication, where applicable.
4. Purpose & Vedic Calculations
Hindu Calendar provides astronomical, Panchang, Muhurat, and calendar calculations based on authentic, traditional Drik-Ganita (observational) Vedic astronomy algorithms.
While calculations strive for mathematical precision, celestial events such as Sunrise, Sunset, and Tithi timings are strictly dependent on geographic coordinates and local horizon factors. Users should consult their local temple or family priest for highly sensitive regional rituals.
5. Location Services & Apple Calendar Access
GPS Location & City Selection: With your explicit authorization (NSLocationWhenInUseUsageDescription), the Application accesses your device’s current coordinates solely to calculate localized Sunrise, Sunset, Choghadiya, and auspicious timings. Location data is processed on-device and is never tracked or sold.
Apple Calendar Export: With your permission (NSCalendarsUsageDescription / NSCalendarsFullAccessUsageDescription), the Application enables you to save personal Tithi reminders and festival dates into your native Apple Calendar. The app does not access or modify your existing private calendar events.
6. Intellectual Property
All original application source code, designs, artwork, custom iconography, curated festival explanations, algorithms, and typography are the exclusive intellectual property of Hindu Calendar and its creator, Intus Software Solutions. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
The Application is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
Apple Disclaimer: You acknowledge that Apple Inc. has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the Application. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the Application.
8. Apple as Third-Party Beneficiary
You and the Application developer acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple’s subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms of Use / EULA, and that upon your acceptance of these terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.
