## Vivah Muhurat in October 2027

Vivah muhurat is the auspicious time chosen for a Hindu wedding. It is worked out from the tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana of the day, the lunar and solar month, and whether Jupiter (Guru) and Venus (Shukra) are visible. The dates on this page follow those rules.

Once you have a date, the exact hour of the ceremony (lagna) is usually fixed with your family priest, who may also look at the couple's kundali and your family's customs. Treat the dates here as a starting point and confirm the final time with a pandit.

### Key Marriage Astrological Criteria:

- **Auspicious Nakshatras:** Rohini, Mrigashira, Magha, Uttara Phalguni, Hasta, Swati, Anuradha, Mula, Uttara Ashadha, Uttara Bhadrapada, and Revati. The gandanta parts (the first pada of Ashwini, Magha and Mula, the last pada of Ashlesha, Jyeshtha and Revati) are left out.
- **Yoga & Karana:** Times of Vishkambha, Atiganda, Shula, Ganda, Vyaghata, Vajra, Vyatipata, Parigha and Vaidhriti yoga are left out, and so are times of Vishti (Bhadra) and of the fixed karanas (Shakuni, Chatushpada, Naga, Kimstughna).
- **Chaturmas Prohibition:** Hindu weddings are not held during Chaturmas, from Ashadha Shukla Ekadashi (Devshayani Ekadashi) to Kartika Shukla Ekadashi (Devutthana Ekadashi).
- **Solar Months:** Days on which the Sun is in Karka, Simha, Kanya, Dhanu or Meena are left out (this includes Kharmas, when the Sun is in Dhanu or Meena).
- **Guru and Shukra Asta:** Days when Jupiter or Venus is set (not visible near the Sun), and the 3 days before they set and after they rise again, are left out. Adhika masa is left out too.
